1. Transfer funds
Before trading, make sure your futures account has sufficient funds (e.g., USDT).
(1) Open the AlphaX app and tap "Assets" at the bottom right corner, then select "Transfer".
(2) Transfer from the spot account to the futures account, select a cryptocurrency (e.g., USDT), enter the amount to transfer, then tap "Confirm".
2. Go to USDT-M perpetual
Tap "Futures" on the bottom navigation bar.
3. Select trading pair
Search for and select a trading pair (e.g., BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT).
4. Configure trading settings and place order
(1) Select margin mode:
Cross margin mode: Use the entire account balance as margin for all positions.
Isolated margin mode: The margin is limited to the specific position.
(2) Tap "Leverage" and adjust it for your trade.
(3) Select "Order type".
(4) Enter order details and, based on your market outlook, choose "Open long" or "Open short".
Confirm order
Notes
(1) Isolated margin mode: Each position is calculated separately. If liquidation is triggered, assets in other isolated positions or cross margin positions will not be used to cover losses. Additional margin must be added manually.
Example: In isolated margin mode, if a user's futures account has 1,000 USDT, but only 200 USDT is used as margin to open a BTC long position, then in the event of liquidation, the potential loss is limited to the 200 USDT margin, while the remaining 800 USDT remains unaffected.
(2) Cross margin mode: All available balance in the settlement currency is shared across positions to help reduce the risk of liquidation. If account asset falls below the maintenance margin requirement, liquidation will be triggered and assets of the settlement currency will be at risk.
Example: In cross margin mode, if a user's futures account has 1,000 USDT and 200 USDT is used as margin to open a BTC long position, liquidation will result in loss of the entire 1,000 USDT balance.
5. Monitor and manage your positions
(1) Go to the "Positions" tab to view position details.
(2) Tap "TP/SL" to configure TP/SL settings. Tap "Reverse" to open a position in the opposite direction. Tap "Close" to close your position using a limit order. Tap the flash icon to close your position immediately at market price.
- Notes
1. Leverage management: Higher leverage can amplify potential profit, but also increases risk. Trade responsibly and consider the risks before adjusting leverage.
2. Set TP/SL orders: Set take profit and stop loss levels in advance to automatically close positions once the preset thresholds are reached.
3. Monitor liquidation risk: Regularly check your margin ratio to reduce the risk of liquidation due to insufficient margin.
4. Follow market trends: Stay updated on market movements and adjust your trading strategies accordingly to adapt to changing market conditions.
