The main reason a position may still be liquidated after setting a stop loss is that the user selected a different trigger price to stop loss.
On AlphaX, liquidation is triggered by the mark price (grey price).
Users can specify the trigger price for stop loss (the default is the last price).
Therefore, before the stop loss is triggered at the last price (red/green price), the mark price may trigger liquidation first.
AlphaX users are advised to select the trigger price for the stop loss based on their trading strategies.
Last price (default option) is the latest market price when a user's buy/long or sell/short order is executed.
Index price is calculated based on the estimated index price. The index price is derived from the weighted spot prices across multiple spot exchanges. The weighted average is calculated using volume weights, based on each exchange's trading volume from the previous month.
Mark price is used to trigger liquidation.
How to view the selected stop loss trigger price?
1. Go to "Order history"
2. Select trading pair
3. View the "Trigger price" column
Market = Last price
Mark = Mark price
Index = Index price
Lastly, why does the stop loss order status show as "Canceled"?
When a position is liquidated, the system will cancel all open orders, conditional orders, take profit orders, and stop loss orders, and close the position.
