Background:
AlphaX has now launched an automatic flexible-term wealth management product: Flexible Savings.
Flexible Savings helps users improve the utilization of idle assets. After you enable Flexible Savings, eligible assets in your account will automatically participate in interest accrual. There is no need to manually transfer assets to a separate account or manually redeem them.
Flexible Savings
Flexible Savings is an automatic flexible-term wealth management product. After Flexible Savings is enabled, the system will automatically identify eligible assets in the account and calculate earnings based on the daily snapshot results.
You do not need to manually subscribe, transfer assets to a separate account, or redeem them. Eligible assets remain in the original account, and earnings will be distributed after settlement.
Flexible Savings features
- Automatic participation: After Flexible Savings is enabled, eligible assets automatically participate in interest accrual.
- No transfer required: You do not need to manually transfer assets to a separate account.
- Daily calculation: The system uses the daily snapshot rules to calculate the eligible interest-bearing principal.
- Daily distribution: Earnings from the previous interest accrual day are usually distributed the next day.
- Floating earnings: The APY displayed on the page is a floating rate of return. The maximum APY is subject to the page display.
- Default compounding: After earnings are distributed to the account, they can continue to participate in snapshots and interest accrual.
Usage notes
- Currently, Flexible Savings supports only USDT assets. Other assets will be included gradually, subject to the display shown on the page.
- Flexible Savings must be enabled manually by the user. After Flexible Savings is enabled, eligible USDT assets in the account will automatically participate in interest accrual.
- Once the Flexible Savings feature is turned off, the account balance for that day will no longer participate in interest accrual.
- Flexible Savings does not guarantee principal or earnings. APY is a floating rate of return. The platform may adjust it based on market conditions, underlying returns, asset scale, risk reserves, platform subsidy budget, and risk control conditions.
- Flexible Savings usually follows the T+1 interest accrual rule. Eligible assets added on day T usually start generating earnings on day T+1, and earnings are usually distributed on day T+2.
- The system will take multiple snapshots during the interest accrual day and calculate the daily interest-bearing principal based on the lowest eligible balance from that day's snapshots.
- Each 1 USDT counts as one share, and the interest-bearing principal is calculated based on the number of whole shares. For example, if the lowest eligible balance of the day is 5,080.75 USDT, the interest-bearing principal will be 5,080 USDT (5,080 shares). The remaining 0.75 USDT is excluded from interest calculation for that day.
- If the eligible interest-bearing principal is lower than the minimum interest accrual threshold, no earnings may be generated or the corresponding record may not be displayed. Refer to the page rules for the specific threshold.
- Assets being withdrawn, assets being frozen due to risk control, bonus voucher, trial fund, unrealized PnL, and similar items do not participate in interest accrual. Margin used for open positions does participate in interest accrual.
- If the account is added to the wealth management blacklist or triggers risk control restrictions, the account may not be eligible for Flexible Savings.
How to use Flexible Savings
- How do I enable Flexible Savings? On the web, you can view and enable Flexible Savings from "Assets overview" or the entry points of Flexible Savings. On the app, you can view and enable it on the "Assets overview" page. After you enable it, the system will automatically identify eligible balances in your account. You do not need to manually transfer funds to a separate account.
- How do I disable Flexible Savings?Users can disable the feature on the Flexible Savings page. After it is disabled, the account assets for that day will no longer participate in interest accrual.
- How do I view earnings?Users can view earnings information on the history page or the earnings details page, including: interest accrual date, currency, actual interest-bearing principal, applicable APY, daily earnings, distribution time, and distribution status. When earnings are 0, the page may display "--". The date usually indicates the snapshot date or interest accrual date and may not be the same as the actual distribution date.
- How do I view snapshot records?Users can view daily snapshot information on the "Snapshot history" page. Based on the snapshot results, the system will identify the lowest eligible balance of the day and calculate the daily interest-bearing principal accordingly.Snapshot records are usually displayed in reverse chronological order. If the interest-bearing amount is lower than the minimum interest accrual threshold, the corresponding record may not be displayed.
Earnings calculation and distribution
- What is APY?APY stands for annual percentage yield. The APY displayed for Flexible Savings is a floating APY and does not represent a fixed return commitment. When the page displays the highest APY, the actual applicable APY is subject to the user's tier, product rules, and the page display.
- How do snapshots affect earnings?Because user balances change with trading, order placement, order cancellation, deposits, withdrawals, futures position opening and closing, and other actions, the system identifies the qualified balance for the day through multiple daily snapshots. The principal used for interest calculation on that day is usually the lowest qualified balance among multiple snapshots taken on that day, rounded down to the nearest whole USDT.
- When are earnings distributed? The system usually settles the earnings for the previous interest-bearing day during UTC 00:00 - 02:00 each day and distributes the earnings for the previous interest-bearing day during UTC 02:00 - 04:00 each day. Earnings are usually distributed to the spot account. If the account is under risk control restrictions at the time of distribution, earnings may be delayed or may not be distributed.
